As individuals carrying the Fabry disease gene register on the NFDF website, dots will appear on this map indicating the known locations of the Fabry disease population. People with Fabry Disease seem to be massed in large groups around major Fabry Disease treatment centers. This may happen due to founder's effect and interest by Fabry Disease physicians. As  Fabry Disease, an underdiagnosed disease,  is diagnosed more readily, the popualtion may expand to more areas. Undiagnosed Fabry disease is a tragedy that is improving with time.
